I tried to be detailed with my thoughts so that your feedback can be deliberate and meaningful. What else would you like to know? I really appreciate you looking at this post to help me. I believe that I will slowly continue to make better habits with my diet that will bring me closer to this goal in the next few months. My goal is to have a body fat percentage of 13-15%. I haven't missed a workout this year and have never felt more motivated to make this an absolute essential part of my life. I have lost over 20 pounds since September and have made considerable strength gains. I'm not sure if these type of workouts are frowned upon here.Īdditionally, I am 6'1" and 225 lbs. Is my money better spent elsewhere? If so, what do you think I am missing? Keep in mind that my homegym routine is dominated by what Tony Horton tells me to do - please don't make fun of me. ![]() Currently, there are a few moves where I wished I had more weight than my Bowflex SelectTech 552 dummbbells can offer and there is one exercise where I don't feel comfortable using them (pushup to row or "Renegade Rows") but I have seen people posting YouTube videos doing these exercises with PowerBlock and they look very secure.Ĭurrently at my homegym I have the Bowflex SelectTech 552 dummbbells, a flat bench, a folding chair, a pullup bar (wall mounted), a few resistance bands/tubing, pushup bars, a yoga ball, and yoga blocks. I think I want the PowerBlock U90 5-90 lb set of dummbbells because I do P90X, and P90X3 which is a very fast-paced workout and I have to be able to adjust the weights very quickly. Would you ever opt out of the stand if money wasn't a consideration? I currently have a set of Bowflex SelectTech 552 dummbbells and they work great but I wish everyday I had the stand for them. Have you ever regretted not buying a bigger dumbbell? It's another $309 to get the U90 5-125 lb set but also another $68 for the larger stand. ![]() Is buying this from the PowerBlock site the best? I can't seem to find a better deal elsewhere.ĭoes PowerBlock ever run sales or special offers on their website? I think I have a better chance of convincing my wife if there is a limited time offer. I want to let you know that I have sold myself on the PowerBlock U90 5-90 lb set of dummbbells but I can be convinced of something else I wanted to ask a few questions first. I have several questions that I need to ask r/homegym and I'm confident that you will be able to help me.
